About Us

Lincolnshire Beekeepers have been in existence for over 160 years. LBKA was one of the first beekeeping associations to form the British Beekeepers Association in 1874. We are a charity and our charitable objectives are

  • to encourage, improve and advance apiculture primarily but not exclusively within Lincolnshire, to the public good.
  • to advance the awareness of the public in the importance of bees in the environment.

LBKA consists of 10 districts that cover a large area of Lincolnshire. Each district holds meetings throughout the year and courses from beginners’ to more advanced beekeeping.

LBKA has a proactive education team and hold an annual honey show at the Lincolnshire Show.

If you are interested in learning about bees and beekeeping, please contact your local district.
